Goal of the network

The aim of the GTEM Research Training Network is to create a European research platform in explicit methods in Galois theory, number theory, and arithmetic geometry.

The research goal of the network is to make complex objects in advanced number theory and arithmetic geometry accessible to efficient computation, and to develop feasible computational methods for their applications in data security and networking.

The training goal of the GTEM network is to provide 12 PhD students with the range of skills to meet the demands of top mathematical research in the GTEM subject area, and of its interdisciplinary applications outside of mathematics.

See the research program [PDF] [version May 2006] and the training program [PDF] [version May 2006] for details.
