Intercity number theory seminar |
The intercity number theory seminar is the seminar
of the participants of the SMC-funded
Groot Project Getaltheorie.
It is one of the activities of
Stieltjes number theory.
The seminar meets every second Friday at one of the participating universities.
PROGRAM
In the spring of 1999, the intercity seminar will host
a series of lectures by Ed Schaefer (Santa Clara),
who is currently visiting Leiden University (January - May 1999).
His lectures focus on
Rational points on algebraic curves.
During the period April - June 1999, there will be a number of talks by
`Kloostermanhoogleraar'
Andrew Granville.
The weekly
Stieltjes course on class field theory by Hendrik Lenstra
takes place on Friday mornings (10.00 - 12.45) and starts January 22.
On intercity days, the location of the course and the intercity talks
coincide.
