Symposium on Image Reconstruction and Visualisation

On Tuesday 19 September various aspects of image reconstruction and volume visualisation will be presented in four lectures. The program of the day, which is supported by the DIAMANT cluster, reads:

10.30-11.00    Coffee and tea

11:00-11:45    K.J. Batenburg (Univ. Leiden, CWI)
Real-time tomography

11:45-12:30    J.B.T.M. Roerdink (RU Groningen)
Frequency domain volume rendering by the wavelet X-ray transform

12:30-13:30    Lunch

13:30-14:15    A.J. Koster (LUMC, Univ. Leiden)
Zooming into nanoscale structures with 3-D electron microscopy

14:15-15:00    J. Sijbers (Univ. Antwerpen, Belgium)
Functional MRI, diffusion tensor MRI and tractography: ways to explore the functioning and connectivity of the brain

15.00-15.30    Coffee and tea

Location: Room 174, Snellius Building, Niels Bohrweg 1, Leiden

At 16.15 K.J. Batenburg will defend his thesis "Network Flow Algorithms for Discrete Tomography" in the Lokhorstkerk, Pieterskerkstraat 1, Leiden Centre.

Participants who want to join the free lunch should register by sending an e-mail to Mrs. T. Bakker before 15 September.
