Amsterdam Airport (Schiphol) has regular and frequent train connections with Leiden, even during the night. The travelling time is about 15 minutes.

Arrival in Leiden

By train.

The easiest way from the station to the hotel is by taxi (estimated cost: Dfl. 15,-). Convenient and not expensive (Dfl. 7,-) is the "trein-taxi" (a special taxi, possibly shared with other people). To take a train taxi, buy a trein-taxi voucher ("trein-taxi kaartje") together with your train ticket. You can also take the bus: no. 30 (direction Oegsgeest) to Het Witte Huis; nos. 31, 41 (direction Katwijk) or no. 40 (direction Noordwijk) to Bastion. The bus is paid with a "strippenkaart", which is valid in The Netherlands for all public transport except trains. A strippenkaart can be bought at all railway stations.

By car.

Both hotels are situated near the Highway A44. Take the Oegstgeest/Rijnsburg exit (see the map).
